Scrivelsby Court, Lion Gateway
This gateway (known locally as the 'Lion Gate') to Scrivelsby Park dates from the 16th century, but was rebuilt in the 1830s.
The crowned lion reflects the pride of the Dymoke family, who in succession to the related Marmions have held the hereditary title of King's Champion of England from 1350.
