St Edith's was declared redundant in 1981 and demolished in 1993.

The churchyard is still cared for and the footprint of the building can be seen.

The tower of St Edith's was built in red brick in 1837 and the chancel was rebuilt at the same time.

The nave was of medieval construction in chalk and, like the rest of the building, was rendered in cement sometime after the 1837 work.
