The little church of St Michael, East Torrington, is accessed through a farmyard and a garden.

It is the 1848 work of the "rogue" architect S. S. Teulon, though only the crocketed buttresses for the gable of the bellcote show signs of his eccentricity.

there are 80 sittings.

The register dates from the year 1564.

The living is a rectory, with West Torrington vicarage annexed, joint net yearly value £202, including 41 acres of glebe, in the gift of Christopher H. Turnor esq. and held since 1911 by the Rev. Marshal Seth Harold Spink, who resides at West Torrington"

The reticulated tracery of the east window is in typical style of the Decorated period (early 14th century).  It is of course part of Teulon's 1848 restoration.
