The Methodist chapel on Beck Bank was built in 1935. Prior to this there had been both Primitive and Wesleyan Methodist chapels in the settlement. 

This chapel was built shortly after the unification of the Methodist churches in 1931,

Gosberton Clough Methodist church Dunmore & Wesley foundation stones.

Two of the foundation stones along the west side of the building. One wonders who Alfred and Ann Wesley were in relation to the founder of Methodism. There are many foundation stones around the outside of the building. All the inscriptions are in capitals and there follows a list of those not otherwise legible in the photographs:

St Hugh's viewed from the east.

Throughout the building the windows are constructed in oak but, unlike the plain Perpendicular style of those in the nave, the chancel windows have pronounced cusps.

September 2010

This small, attractive church was built in 1902-04 by Bucknall & Comper.

The nave is timber framed with pebble-dashed facing.

The wooden windows are Perpendicular in style.
