St Mark's, designed by Ewan Christian, was built in 1869. The use of polychrome bricks is restrained - or possibly age and weathering have muted the colours. It is listed Grade II.

The porch on the south side of the church has a pointed arch with billet moulding and small lancet windows on the sides.

The door to the church has decorative wrought iron strap hinges. The gabled bellcote is seen in this photograph.

The view from the east shows the rounded apse and the north chapel, a modern extension in sympathetic style.

By contrast, the lean-to shed attached to the apse is an ugly structure.

The interior of St Mark's has a complete decorative scheme with stained glass, font, benches, tiles and altar rail.
