The Red Lion on the left has been demolished and replaced by a Co-op convenience store. The White Hart in the middle was closed in 1939 by order of the Lindsey licensing magistrates who considered that there were too many pubs in the village.

A new Methodist Chapel was opened on High Street in March 1964 and a schoolroom added in 1970.

The chapel closed in 2016.

St Hugh's in Sturton-by-Stow was built as a Mission Church to the design of J. L. Pearson in 1879.

St Hugh's in Sturton-by-Stow is a very modest building with windows in 13th century style.

It was designed by J. L. Pearson and built in 1879.

The apse at the east end of Pearson's church is unusually broad.

Bricks are laid in English Bond throughout.

The bellcote over the west gable at St Hugh's is simply constructed in timber with tile and copper cladding.

This four-storey tower mill on Mill Lane, built in 1815, worked with four sails. It was wind powered with supplementary oil engine until 1954.

It was a subscription mill, i.e. it was owned by local shareholders, 40 in this instance.

This former Methodist Chapel on Main Street was opened by the Wesleyans in 1806 and closed in 1964.
