Royal Standard over the entrance to the Seamen's Chapel - hole pierced by a German naval shell.
Presented by Rear Admiral Alfred Ellison son of the Rev. Charles Ellison vicar of Bracebridge.
It flew at Felixstowe Naval Base during a visit by King George V on the 13th April 1916.
On the 25th April the base was shelled by the German Fleet and the standard was pierced.
As was the custom, it was returned to the King but he gave it to the Admiral, who laid it up in the Cathedral.

This hatchment is undated but for a member of the Nelthorpe family. Their family shield is white (argent) with a central stripe (pale) of black (sable) bearing a vertical sword. Above the shield an extended arm also holds a vertical sword. This is perhaps older than the one on the north wall since it also sports a skull and two sets of cross bones. He married fourth, Mary Winifreda, daughter of Lt-Colonal Durell, died 9 April 1808.
He married fifth Emma, 4th daughter of Thomas Lane of Selsdon Surrey, died 11 March 1828.


A Queen Anne coat of arms, dated 1710, hangs above the tower arch.
