This chapel was built for the Wesleyan Methodists shortly before the union of Methodist churches. The opening service was held on 22 April 1926.
The large east window (orientation a la CE church?) is approximately in Perpendicular style.

The tower of St. Peter's church in Navenby fell in c.1750 and was replaced; 'badly' according to Pevsner. The rest of the church makes up for it.
The nave is decorated with a Perpendicular clerestory.
The Decorated chancel is considered one of the finest in the region and contains a fine sedilia and easter sepulchre.
Mark Acton, 2008

View from the south-east in late autumn sunshine.
The large windpows of the clerestory and battlements above are good examples of Perpendicular work.

Taking photographs of St Peter's is a challenge even when trees are no longer in leaf in the late autumn.
November 2017

Kelly's Directory 1930 records :-
"The church of St. Peter is a building of stone in the Transitional, Early English, Early and Late Decorated styles, consisting of chancel, clerestoried nave and aisles, north porch and a western tower, with pinnacles, containing a clock and 6 bells :
in the chancel are a piscina and sedilia, a founder's tomb within a recessed arch, and an Easter sepulchre, the carving of all these being remarkable for its excellence of design and execution :
the latter has at the base three much mutilated figures of Roman soldiers, standing: above is a large recess with triangular cusped head, within a bold ogee arch, richly crocketed and terminating in an elaborate finial : in the spandrils are figures of the three Marys, and a censing angel: the whole is enclosed on either side by tall and elaborately wrought pinnacles :
in 1908 a memorial window was placed to the Rev. George Tyson Harvey M.A. rector here 1893-1907, and in 1910 a rood screen was erected to his memory by his wife:
the church underwent some restoration in 1859-60, and in 1875-6 the chancel and nave were completely restored under the direction of Mr. Charles Kirk, architect, Sleaford, at a cost of £3,320: there are 300 sittings."
