Your 20 favourite buildings in Lincolnshire?
Here's what you chose

At the height of COVID lockdown we asked you to list your 20 favourite buildings in Lincolnshire.

Thanks to all who sent in their nominations. Nearly 100 different buildings were mentioned. Here are the top twenty.

Lincoln Lane Farmhouse, Sixhills
A Novel Investigative Methodology

The SLHA Building Recording Group (RUBL) studied this Grade II listed building between 2016 and 2018 and revealed its origins as a sixteenth-century timber-framed Hall House with possible links to Sixhills Priory. Unexpectedly, it was also found to contain floor joists of re-used 12th century timbers.
 
X-Ray fluorescence was used to measure surface levels of lead on these early timbers in a series of experiments designed to clarify their possible original use.
