St Margaret's church was built in Perpendicular style (fifteenth century) and was extensively restored in 1871.

Attached to the north-east corner of the church was a small tower with broach spire covered in timber shingles.

Porch and south aisle, rebuilt in Perpendicular style in 1871.

The church is seen here in a serious state of decay. It was demolished in 1978 very shortly after the three photographs on this web page were taken.

Painting of Saint Margaret's Church, which was demolished 1978, displayed in Tetford Church.

White's Directory of Lincolnshire 1856 states :-

"The Church (St. Margaret), built in the reign of Edward III., was restored in 1871, at an expense of about £600.

It comprises nave, chancel, south porch and spire, and its windows are much admired for their beautiful tracery"
